Last year, Turkey adopted the Law on the Principle of Reciprocity, which allows foreign citizens to buy Property for sale in Turkey, after which the conditions of foreign citizens in Turkey have radically changed. The government has announced that anyone who wants to own property in the country will be granted a residence permit. In this context, there has been an increase in foreign investment from abroad. Until then, the residence permit was issued for a period of no more than six months, after which foreigners who want to buy Property for sale in Turkey had to leave the country. The law that comes into force also simplifies the procedure for obtaining a residence permit by foreigners for the period of the transaction for the acquisition of real estate.
